Silicone Ice-Phobic Coatigs

Ice build up has major economic impact on the aircraft industry, resulting in multiple eorts to understand and resolve the problem. When compared to other commercially marketed ice-phobic coatings and non-stick materials such as Teon®, NuSil’s silicone coatings show signicantly improved reduction in ice adhesion when applied on aluminum surfaces. In addition, new silicone materials have been developed thatcure at room emperature and add fuel resistance.
